John Scott is an independent consultant operating from his own company, Chiltern Power Limited. He was formerly Director, Network Innovation at KEMA Consulting Ltd. John’s previous roles haveincluded Technical Director for Ofgem, the Britishelectricity and gas regulator, and Director of Engineering for National Grid Company in the UK.He was vice chairman of the European Smart GridsTechnology Platform, is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering amp; Technology, a recent member of theirBoard of Trustees, a member of the IET Energy Policy Panel, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Bath, UK. John is a member of the Advisory Board to the UK Energy Research Centre, and a founder member of the GB Smart Grid Forum chaired by the Government and Energy Regulator.He has a number of client advisory roles and is a Non Executive Director of Smarter Grid Solutions Ltd.
